Stress found to trigger IBS, asthma, & autoimmune

A new pathway has been discovered that explains how stress can trigger immune cells to release inflammatory chemicals that produce a whole list of serious diseases.  A specific stress receptor called the corticotropin releasing factor (CRF-1) is responsible for this process.  How the  mind-body connection works is slowly coming to light.

Ibuprofen found to suppress testicles

Searching for reasons behind the falling fertility rate researchers tested the effects of taking ibuprofen for 6 weeks.  They found that within 2 weeks the ibuprofen suppressed testicular production of the male hormone testosterone.  The brain tried to compensate, but the concern was that over time primary hypogonadism would result producing loss of libido, muscle wasting, and mood issues.

How much exercise is needed to help your heart?

Exercise for heart health is a well known mantra.  But how much do you need to do to increase heart function?  New studies ar showing that 4 to 5 times per week is necessary to get desired benefits.  2-3 times per week does not do the job.  Recommended is one high intensity aerobic day, 1-2 strength training days, and 2 moderately intense days of exercise.  Bad news - these benefits don't seem to show up in the heart if you are starting exercising over the age of 65.

Our address is  9725 Fair Oaks Blvd. suite A
Our hours are M - F 9 to 1 and M, Tu, & Th 3 to 6

Finding the new location is very easy.  Coming from highway 50 up Sunrise Blvd, you turn left and go up a block.  We are on the right hand side - the building just past the Subway Sandwich shop.  If you are coming down Sunrise from the Mall area then just turn right on Fair Oaks Blvd and up a block on the right.

If you are coming from the Roseville area you could come down Sunrise Blvd, but that is a long trek.  It is probably shorter time wise to come down Auburn Blvd - San Juan Ave like you have been for the Sunset office, but instead of turning left at Sunset, keep going straight 3 more lights to Fair Oaks Blvd and turn left.  Go down 2 lights to New York Ave, go through the intersection, and immediately turn into the turn lane once the center divider ends.  We are on the left.
