Marijuana smoke damages blood vessels

Everyone knows smoking tobacco is bad for you, but marijuana has not been seen as a problem on this level.  New research is showing that smoking anything is bad news.  The issue is not the THC or the nicotine, but other things in the smoke.  In fact even second hand marijuana smoke shows a 90 minute reduction of blood vessel function compared to only a 30 minute reduction for tobacco.  It is believed that this impact on the blood vessels leads to hardening of the arteries down the road.  So edibles and tinctures are no issue, but smoking anything, including marijuana is a problem.

Resveratrol restores blood-brain barrier

Resveratrol (found in my anti-inflammatory chocolate) has been found to repair leaky blood-brain barriers that keep inflammatory molecules out of the brain.  It is these inflammatory molecules that trigger brain disorders like Alzheimer’s disease.  Resveratrol is also found in some red wines, raspberries, and dark chocolate.  However, the study used daily doses of resveratrol equal to 1000 bottles of red wine a day – about 2 grams daily.

60% of the calories we eat come from junk food

Tracking families’ food purchases for one year showed that 60% of the calories they consumed came from highly processed foods high in sugar, unhealthy fats, and salt.  Packaged ready-to-eat or heat-and-eat foods are directly causative of most of the modern diseases we fight today.

Our address is  9725 Fair Oaks Blvd. suite A
Our hours are M - F 9 to 1 and M, Tu, & Th 3 to 6

Finding the new location is very easy.  Coming from highway 50 up Sunrise Blvd, you turn left and go up a block.  We are on the right hand side - the building just past the Subway Sandwich shop.  If you are coming down Sunrise from the Mall area then just turn right on Fair Oaks Blvd and up a block on the right.

If you are coming from the Roseville area you could come down Sunrise Blvd, but that is a long trek.  It is probably shorter time wise to come down Auburn Blvd - San Juan Ave like you have been for the Sunset office, but instead of turning left at Sunset, keep going straight 3 more lights to Fair Oaks Blvd and turn left.  Go down 2 lights to New York Ave, go through the intersection, and immediately turn into the turn lane once the center divider ends.  We are on the left.
