Stress that supports:
the Moringa miracle
Hi ,
Stress, we are all too familiar with the impact it has on our health. It frays our nerves, unbalances our hormones, disturbs our digestion, and ruins our relationships. Yet life is stressful.
The stress of life is not just a human experience. All life experiences stress. When the stress becomes too much, life retreats... until it learns how to adapt. Those plants and animals that are successful at adapting to harsh life stressors develop new ways of dealing with the stress. They recreate themselves and become new and improved versions of themselves with new skills and potentials.

The Moringa tree is an example of such adaptation. It has developed the ability to handle the stresses of arid tropical climates better than most any other tree. In times of drought, it will be the only vegetation that thrives in many areas. It is so hardy and fast growing, that it can handle having a significant portion of its leaves harvested every three weeks. It can handle the harshest blazing sun without having to resort to the tough hide of a cactus. It has even figured out how to fertilize itself by capturing the nitrogen in the air and "fixing" it into the soil and into its own tissues as protein.
How has it done all these things? Better living through chemistry. It has developed hundreds of specialized phytochemicals that protect it from sun damage, enhance its growth, protect it from disease, and to create nutrients from the most basic of elements for itself. All this has been its response to the stress of the harsh climates and competition from other classes of vegetation. Moringa has built itself into a winner.
Interesting, but why do we care? We care, because all the work the Moringa has gone through to develop these superior chemical supports, defenses, and adaptations, will support us just as much. We can use the phytochemicals the Moringa has developed for our own benefit. We can enhance our resistance to the stress of life by borrowing the successful solutions that plants like the Moringa tree have created for themselves. We can eat Moringa and gain the strengths of the Moringa.
In a previous article I wrote about the nutritional benefits of Moringa. In particular I mentioned its leaves (weight per weight) have four times the calcium of milk, seven times the vitamin C content of oranges, three times the potassium of bananas, three times the iron of spinach, four times the amount of vitamin A in carrots, and two times the protein in milk. Of special value are the 46 different antioxidant phytochemicals found in Moringa. These are key to its ability to withstand the damaging effects of too much sun in the drought times.
Today I would like to discuss the medicinal properties of Moringa.

Moringa has been found to be effective in inhibiting a wide variety of bacteria and fungi. Many different parts of the tree prepared in various ways have been a part of traditional medicine in India for thousands of years. It is also effective in combating various parasites.
Moringa is an effective anti-inflammatory agent. Most research has been directed towards helping with the inflammation that triggers asthma. But being an anti-inflammatory it also helps reduce fever and pain.
Several studies have shown Moringa to be effective in reducing hypertension as well as reducing cholesterol levels.
Moringa has anti-diabetic activity and significantly reduces blood glucose concentration.
Moringa has been found to protect the liver from damage by a number of drugs and to reduce liver fibrosis.
Anti tumor activity has been found with the bioactive compounds found in Moringa. Several cancer cell lines show the ability of Moringa to kill cancer cells of various types.

Moringa is used as an anti-spasmodic and anti-ulcer treatment. It has also been found useful in stimulating circulation and cardiac function.
All in all Moringa seems to have something for just about everyone, and in concentrations higher than most any other plant source. Moringa became a survivor in arid tropical regions because of the huge variety and concentration of useful phytochemicals it developed. Now we can derive the benefits of Moringa's adaptation to the stress of its environment.
When I fist encountered Moringa I had a positive feeling about adding it to my daily nutrition program. Individual vitamins and minerals are necessary, but whole foods are far superior because of the many, many complex food elements like the phytochemicals that they contain. Modern science is just beginning to appreciate the value of these powerful nutrition sources. I have always included whole food concentrates in my diet to compensate for everything I am missing by no longer being a hunter-gatherer.
The first order of Moringa arrived shortly before Christmas, and sold out in an hour and a half. I quickly ordered more from the manufacturer in India and wired funds to them for another order. It was fun watching the tracking of my order on DHL's website as it moved from India to Germany and then to Cincinnati, USA in about 29 hours...then it got stuck. The order sat in Cincinnati for 2 weeks while the FDA tried to decide whether I was importing some sort of restricted herbal products. After a couple phone calls to DHL and getting additional information to the feds they finally released the Moringa last Thursday and it arrived in the office late Friday. So yes, we have Moringa once again!
Many of you missed your chance to pick some up the first time through, but it is back in the office now. Call to reserve yours now.

Interestingly, a couple days ago my back order on Chia seeds finally came through. There has been a worldwide shortage on Chia seeds. I have been waiting several months for the new crop to come in. Unfortunately the laws of supply and demand have pushed the price of Chia seeds to almost double what it was 6 months ago. Our current price has been pushed up to $16 per pound. A pound lasts quite a while so I find it still worth it to buy it for myself.
So enjoy the value our Moringa Powder brings to your life as the Moringa's successful adaptations to the stress of life help you meet your own stresses.
Take care,
David

We have moved
.
Our new address is at 9725 Fair Oaks Blvd.
If you are coming from the Roseville area you could come down Sunrise Blvd, but that is a long trek. It is probably shorter time wise to come down Auburn Blvd - San Juan Ave like you have been for the Sunset
office, but instead of turning left at Sunset, keep going straight 3
more lights to Fair Oaks Blvd and turn left. Go down 2 lights to New York Ave, go through the intersection, and immediately turn into the turn lane once the center divider ends. We are on the left.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you at our new location.
And Thanks again to all the wonderful folks that came and helped us move!
Take care,
David

In the newest first for stem cell therapy, totally blind mice have had their vision restored by injecting the stem cells into the center of the eye. From there they formed a new retina at the back of the eye. This technique shows great promise for the sufferers of the eye disease retinitis pigmentosa.

Electric Brain Stimulation is able to block pain.
Finding good ways to block pain is super important for millions of people that suffer from chronic pain syndromes. Drugs work but have unfortunate side effects. Sometimes drugs can't be used (like in my recent experience after surgery being allergic to the pain meds.) A simple brain stimulation taking little more than a 9 volt battery and skull electrodes places in just the right place has been found to cause the brain to release its own pain blocking chemicals.

Fireflies show us how to brighten our lives
Fireflies generate their own light from the inside of their abdomens. This chemical light requires a lot of energy so nature tries to find the most efficient way to get that light out where it will do the most good. We have the same problem when we create light with light bulbs, especially LED lights. A big chunk of the light just bounces around inside the light bulb. By copying the structure of the scales of the firefly, researchers have found a simple way to increase the light output from LED's by 50%. Nature is so clever - we just need to copy it.
