Magnesium Oil
Hi ,
In our last newsletter I discussed how important magnesium was for our body. I wrote about how critical magnesium is for our ability to digest and absorb our food, for calming down stress, for controlling blood sugar and obesity, and much more. Most importantly I pointed out that you are likely deficient in magnesium as 7 out of 10 Americans are deficient.
One of the reasons for this common deficiency is that magnesium is difficult to absorb in a concentrated easy to swallow form like a pill. Supplements help, but we need more than we can get in that form. Ideally we would be eating a couple pounds of leafy green vegetables every day to get our magnesium, but we don't. Fortunately there is an alternative - absorbing the magnesium we need through the skin.

Transdermal absorption of medicines is considered safer, more efficient, convenient, and less painful than using injections or IV's. This same "through the skin" absorption method can also be used for certain nutrients, like magnesium. This method is how we absorb natural vitamin D formed in the skin when we are in the sun. It is created and released through the oil glands in our skin, and then slowly absorbed over the next several hours.
I am so impressed with what I have read about this method of magnesium usage that I am going to start carrying it in the office.
Many nutrients are designed to enter the body slowly over time. Magnesium is one of these. Throughout most of man's history he was a hunter-gatherer and would be munching on green foods all day long that he found while hunting. Because this was such a normal way of life for the human body, we never developed the ability to store magnesium for later use like we did calcium. Calcium came from more occasional food sources, but magnesium was always around. As I mentioned last time, magnesium is the mineral that makes green plants green. It is the center of the green chlorophyll molecule in plants.
Absorbing magnesium through the skin is a slow process much like eating plants all day long. How do you use it? The easiest method is to simple spray it onto the skin over as much of your body as you are able and let it soak in over the next 20 minutes or so. Personally I like to take a shower afterwards as not all of the magnesium will be absorbed, and I can rinse off the residue. However many people will spray their forearms, neck, or backs of legs several times a day.
The first couple times you use magnesium this way it may produce a light stinging sensation, but this disappears after the first couple of applications. Because of this it is recommended that you do not use it on sensitive areas.
Is magnesium oil really an oil? No, it is a super saturated mineral solution that has a slippery feel to it when you apply it to your skin. It will not leave any oily residue, as it has no oil in it. The magnesium I am using comes from an ancient seabed deep underground called the Zechstein seabed in Europe. One advantage of this is that this seabed is isolated from modern pollution and contaminants that we do not want absorbed into our bodies.

Magnesium oil is ideal for calming down muscle tension and helping with muscle pain, cramps, and fatigue. As such it is wonderful for use in sports medicine. It is also being used in chronic pain clinics with great results. The magnesium soaks through the skin and gets into the muscles, ligaments, and joints to reduce swelling, inflammation, and pain. The more you rub it in, the better the absorption - so using magnesium oil is a fabulous way to get a massage. Not only is the wonderful skill of the massage therapist helping your tense muscles, but the "oil" will soak into the muscles and relax them from the inside out.
Replenishing the deficiency of magnesium on a cellular level may take several months of daily skin application, but the results are reported to be simply amazing. Considering the huge number of uses the body has for magnesium, it is easy to see why amazing results might occur with so many people being deficient in this vital nutrient mineral.

I am creating my own magnesium oil using the same formula and ingredients as the expensive type available on the internet that currently sells for $25 to $30 per 8 ounce spray bottle. Because I am making it myself I will be able to have it in the office for only $9.98 a bottle for a 10 ounce spray bottle. (I am always looking for ways to inexpensively reproduce quality.) So I am introducing Dr Dave's Magnesium Oil. Using both the MgK zyme oral magnesium and the magnesium oil you should be able to reverse your magnesium deficiency in short order.
Magnesium oil is also perfect for use with kids who don't do well with pills. A few daily sprays of the oil and their magnesium needs will be met.
Come on in and give Dr Dave's Magnesium Oil a try.

Coconut Flour and Coconut Oil
We have the good stuff from Tropical Traditions back in the office again for you. This is not your cheap solvent extracted coconut oil, but coconut oil harvested in the traditional manner - the oil is mechanically squeezed out of the coconut meat without the use of any chemical solvents. These are pure organic coconuts raised without fertilizers or pesticides. Its a little more expensive, but so much better for you.
New Exercise Program
Patients are reporting great results with the new back strengthening program I wrote about in the March 18th newsletter. I highly recommend this program for everyone as we all need stronger backs to counter the effects of too much sitting. If you missed this information here is a link to that newsletter.
