Safe to Eat Foods from your Grocery Store Shelves

 Hi ,

For many years now I have been telling everyone that the safest and healthiest way to eat is to consume only fresh foods.  That means shopping only the fresh vegetable and fruit aisle and the fresh meat aisles of the grocery store.  My message has been "If it comes in a printed package, don't eat it."  That means to eat, one has to engage the almost forgotten art of cooking from raw ingredients.

Well not surprisingly most people have ignored my advice because of the time and effort involved in preparing food in the healthiest manner.  In an effort to increase the health of my patients in a manner they can more easily achieve I spent four hours reading the ingredients of hundreds of products that are in printed packages to find some that were acceptable choices for consumption.  The key criteria I was searching for were foods that are gluten free, dairy free, low in sugar and simple carbohydrates, low in toxic chemicals, that could still be stored in your cupboards.

Unfortunately, most of the so-called "health foods" failed the test because they were mostly starch-based foods - unacceptable carb levels.  Eliminating gluten and dairy wipes out most of the typical prepared food dishes as they all have either milk, cheese, or wheat in them.  What is left is a group of foods that are fairly healthy that the average person can make up to eat without having to do a lot of complex cooking.  Of course they won't have the same high nutrition fresh foods have, but they are much more practical.
I didn't check every food in the store, but I did go over most of them.  If you find others, please email me so I can include them on my list.  Here you are:

Enjoy

Take care,
David

Meditation a big help for emotional issues

Emotional issues are often the underlying cause behind the back pain I treat in patients.  While I have developed a super effective way to uncover those issues through muscle testing and resolve them, it does take some committed time working with Ellen (she uses the technique I developed.)  It is nice to have a simple and effective way to help address emotional issues without having to consciously participate with them and create a changed relationship to life.  Meditation helps do just that.

Which foods help your workout?

Certain foods and the time you eat them can either help you build muscle or block your efforts to build muscle.  Easy to digest protein taken 15 minutes after a strength training session or 45 - 60 minutes after a cardio workout will help you build the muscle you are looking for.  After cardio also add in some vegetable type of carbohydrate with the protein.  Avoid any kind of sugar on the day you exercise as it suppresses growth hormone production.  This includes fruit juice, energy drinks and bars, sports drinks, candy, and any easily digested carbohydrate (breads, cookies, etc).

Bubble Hotel in France gives a total outdoor experience

Do you crave the feeling of living
the outdoor experience but are not fond of pesky things like mosquitoes, dirt, and lack of comfort?  Well a hotel in France seems to have solved that with these bubble tents that give you the experience of being in nature visually while providing all the comfort you might desire.
