Gut: the First Frontier
Hi ,
The majority of health problems come down to imbalances in just a few systems... nutrition and digestion, energy and component production, guidance and control systems, and waste elimination. In simple terms: are we getting in what we need, making what we need with it, using it the way we need to, and getting rid of the parts we don't need. Sounds simple right?...Not!
We are amazing. The most complex computer system ever invented is a toy compared to the brain in your average 6-year-old. The most complex manufacturing facilities in the world are child's play compared to what is going on in your gut this very minute. We are amazingly complex.
For this reason I am greatly impressed when someone figures out how to actually correct imbalances in these complex systems. I was just at a seminar a couple weeks ago where the topic was "Autoimmune Regulation by the Nitric Oxide and Glutathione Systems". Yeah, that is a mouthful. We can come back to that subject at a later date. But as a side piece  to that lecture was a protocol and introduction of new support products to repair Leaky Gut Syndrome.
Did you know that almost 80% of our immune system is in our gut? It has to be because every day we inhale, drink, and eat millions of pathogenic bacteria, viruses, molds, fungi, and parasites. The parts we inhale are captured in lung and sinus mucus and pushed up into our saliva to be sent down to the gut to be taken care of. Our gut is our first line of defense.
But what happens when our gut lining and protective defense mechanisms break down? Our gut becomes leaky and lets these bad guys into our blood stream.
The final steps in the digestion of our foods takes place at the gut lining. If the lining is worn down or destroyed our food does not get broken down properly. Large food molecules that are foreign to the body leak into the blood stream and cause all kinds of inflammation and damage to tissues all over the body. Here is a picture of that process I have borrowed from the Apex RepairVite brochure.
So as you can see, repairing a leaky gut is very important. It affects the health of every system in our body...not just the gut area. That is why I am engaging the program for repairing my gut over the next few weeks. I have already been on a strict dietary regime since February due to my gluten intolerance diagnosis/discovery. This program is even stricter. Everything and anything that might irritate the gut is removed from the diet, including all nuts, grains, dairy, eggs, soy, nightshades, fungi, sugars, starches, legumes, and the coffee or alcohol I don't use anyway.
Repairing the Gut is basically a process of getting rid of everything that is irritating the gut, killing the nasty bugs infecting the gut, and supplying the nutrients to heal the gut.
This program is designed to be used for 10 to 30 days, depending upon the severity of the gut problem. I will also be using a special new product called RepairVite for healing the gut, plus Probiotics, and anti-bacterial, anti-yeast, and anti-parasitic herbs. I hope to be finished by Christmas. A newly repaired gut is my Christmas present to myself.
We will be getting RepairVite in the office for you. At the moment the product is backordered. Apex did not anticipate the huge number of doctors that would want this product.
As usual, I have to try everything on myself anyway. If it is as good as the research says, then I will be suggesting it to many of you. A healthy gut is the first step to a healthy body.
