Chiropractor in a bottle?
Hi ,
A couple weeks ago my front desk person Susie was telling me about her old dog Charlie. He has been having trouble getting up and moving about. Susie wanted to know it there was anything I could do for him. I know a good Chiropractic adjustment can do wonders for an animal, but in California only Veterinarians are allowed to work on animals. I have had many patients over the years that have taken their animals to Vets that have learned to use the Activator adjusting tool on animals with great success. Unfortunately the closest Vet I am aware of that does this is way out in Woodland.
I got an idea. Since most of the adjustments I do on people basically come down to re-establishing muscle balance and this is all controlled by the brain, maybe there is another way I can tell the brain to balance muscles other than with an adjustment. Muscle balance is a brain coordination function. Muscles get out of balance for a lot of reasons like; trauma, stress, gravity compensation, lack of use, subconscious emotional or mental conflicts, adaptation to joint dysfunction, and so on.
For an old dog I figured that lack of use, trauma from falling, and joint adaptation would be common problems. Was there a way to stimulate his brain to correct his muscle imbalances? I knew of a way to stimulate the brain to make lots of other corrective rebalances of the body energetically - through Homeopathic medicines and Flower Essences. So I set to work to create an energetic muscle rebalancing formula. I put it into a spray form to use right on the affected area just as though you were doing an adjustment. I told her to simply rub the area he seemed to be having difficulty with to alert the brain to what we wanted to change then lightly spray the area once or twice. Amazingly it worked. He is still an old arthritic dog, but he is able to get up and move around more easily - just as I would have expected from a physical adjustment.
Now for the exciting part, I decided to find out if this would work on people! I took several patients and muscle tested various areas of their body for areas "out of place," just as I would do before an adjustment. I then sprayed the areas with the magic spray and had them move the area around a bit. Upon retesting, they were each back "into place"!
"Wow" I thought, "this could replace my Biomagnetic muscle balance testing and a good portion of my Activator adjustments". People have been telling me for years as they head out on vacation that they need to take me along to keep them aligned. I would often joke that we need a pocket version of me - a SprayDave adjustment-in-a-bottle that they could use between visits to keep things aligned. Well I do believe I have just invented that very thing.
Announcing SprayDave
Muscle Balance Spray!
As far as I know, this is a completely new idea and product. I am eager to have all of you try this out and let me know how it works out there "in the real world". Probably 80% of what I work on these days is muscle balance problems in the spine. Often the only reason the spine is out of place is because the supporting muscles are out of balance. This is not a sports cream or rub that changes how the area feels with heat or cold feeling chemicals. This is not an analgesic or painkiller put into a spray. This is an energetic message to your brain and body to balance the tone of the muscles in the area of application. As they come back into balance the pain and tightness in the area will naturally melt away on its own.
Since I have not tried this on thousands of people yet (you guys are my test group), I am offering a 30 day 100% money back guarantee. I have decided to price this at $15, the same price as the other energetic remedies Ellen is producing during her Bioelectric Integrity testing (click here for her free testing offer).
My expectation is that folks will be able to use this product for those simple tension patterns that result from short term stresses like too much computer work, gardening, long car trips, and the like. This is not a magic healing spray that will take off warts, cure baldness, or make you irresistible to your mate. This is just for muscle imbalance. Injured joints or tissues still have to heal, and joints that get subluxated due to sprains, strains, and a dozen other reasons will still need to be adjusted chiropractically. I see this as a wonderful tool for speeding up the recovery from trauma by helping the chiropractic adjustments that I give hold much better between visits.
My first batch of the new SprayDave Muscle Balancing Spray should be ready and available by the time you receive this newsletter. This should be really a valuable assist to help our structural health. I am looking forward to your comments and reviews. Send your testimonials and reviews to me at david@fairoakshealth.com.
Good Journey,

Health Challenge #16
Walk to improve your digestion
Walking is one of the best things you can do to improve your digestive health. We have already talked about relaxing and being Present with your food when you eat so that your digestive juices flow properly. And we have talked about chewing your food to break it down so the enzymes can get to it to turn it into something that can be carried into your body instead of letting bowel bacteria digest it for themselves. Now we want to talk about the transit of the food through your gut. We are all familiar with the feeling of food moving too fast through the gut when your body is trying to expel something poisonous (like the deep fried Twinkie at the state fair). And we are all familiar with the joys of constipation when food is not moving. The too fast case is a good thing even if a bit unpleasant as it is trying to keep us healthy by ridding us of poisons. The second case however is bad news. The longer food sits in our system, the longer toxic waste our liver dumps into the food for elimination will also sit. This gives bacteria time to turn the toxic waste back into a blood soluble form and it gets absorbed back into our blood stream only to poison us all over again.
Walking stimulates good bowel peristaltic movement. This is the proper squishy-squeezy movement of the intestines that keeps stuff moving along. A nice 15 to 20 minute walk after you have finished a meal does wonders for your health by stimulating good bowel movement. We are not talking about power walking here, but casual walking. The goal is to keep the relaxed attitude from the meal and engage a little light walking with the same relaxed feeling. Try it, your body will like it.

Whale Watch:
Well the results are in. I got my genetic testing results in on whether I am gluten sensitive and dairy sensitive. It has been an interesting feeling journey as it has taken a month to get the results. At first I was hopeful that the results come back and tell me that my experience of problems with wheat and dairy were really something else. The thought of a life without French bread and cheese was to horrible to imagine. After the first week of waiting the fear started to creep in that the results might be positive so I better get my last shot at bread and cheese in before the sentence is handed down. I had a sandwich one day and pizza another. The repercussions were immediate - bloating and 4 lbs of weight gain over night with each splurge. Ice cream also made its way into the final days with the same results. 24 pounds later I could no longer deny the obvious - grains and dairy are killers for me.
I reached a powerful decision. It didn't matter anymore what the results showed. I knew from the inside that these favorite foods did not work for my body. It is funny how we look for an outside "expert" diagnosis to tell us what we already know. I guess that way we can play victim to the gods of health that have struck us down. I am not sure what that does for me - sympathy maybe? Not my game of choice...it means too many down tone games to be played...too much loss of joy. Armored with my conviction I began a gluten-free and dairy-free diet in earnest. Seeing results with avoiding gluten and dairy is a slow process as a gluten reaction can take 9 months to clear up.
So, back to the lab results; I show a HLA-DQ 3,1 (subtype 7,6) gene pattern on 2 alleles with a positive antibody finding for both gluten and casein as well as an autoimmune reaction to an enzyme my body attaches to gliadin, the reactive part of gluten. The good news is that I do not have celiac disease. The bad news is that I am doubly sensitive to gluten (meaning both my parents had this problem) but that it is attacking tissues like my brain, bones, heart, etc instead of the lining of my gut. This makes its reactions harder to notice and track but no less dangerous. My own conclusions are confirmed. Now for the task of repatterning my life...a life without bread and cheese.
